Spirigenic refers to systems that were created for or through religious or spiritual means.[1]

Spirigenic systems and headmates can be of any other origin too — a walk-in, purposely created, even from trauma.

Parogenic refers to systems or headmates created through thought-based or metaphysical methods. There's often an overlap.

Metagenic is similar, but with more of a focus on non-religious spirituality.
