A splintered headmate is one that once split, and then later merged or fused with said split(s).
This can also result in a ‘portal’ being opened within the same headmate, allowing passage of said split(s) to freely come and go into and out of the system. These events may occur outside of the said headmates awareness, with the portal opening, and said split(s) entering and leaving the system without them knowing or being aware of it in the first place.
