switch management ( n., v., adj.) | |
---|---|
Applies to | systems, system functions |
Switch management refers to how systems manage switches and how switches occur.[1]
- Managed Switching: Fronting/switching is controlled and managed, like by a gatekeeper.
- Reactive Switching: Most switches are reactions, or triggered.
- Voluntary Switching: Most switches are voluntary, or controlled.
- Mixed: Mix of voluntary and reactive, either having both equally or having both types cause a switch at the same time.
Systems may not fall into these categories easily, and the type can change over time, or differ between sisasystems.
