A system lockdown is a period during which access to parts of the headspace are blocked off or "shut down". This is done to prevent internal events from affecting the front, preserve or separate members, or maintain order.

Any fronters may be frontstuck while the lockdown is in place, and may have little to no communication with their non-fronting headmates.
