Systemflux refers to people whose identification as a system or a singlet fluctuates in intensity over time. This can be gradually, rapidly, or any speed in-between depending on the system. Usually it is consistent but sometimes it is not. A systemflux system can be of any system origin.

An example of this would be: one day feeling as though various headmates were fronting throughout the day, and then having a day where it feels as though you weren't a system at all. Oftentimes this is linked to headmates only being triggered to the front exclusively through stress, and acknowledgement of the difference between the varying states of plurality and lack thereof.

This state has been described as feeling like one has temporarily completely fused or integrated with all of their headmates, with complete memory overlap and a distinct sense of self that encompasses all senses of selves that the pre-existing system had.

This is distinct from having a host in that the state of temporary fusion is not necessarily a headmate, and cannot necessarily be assigned as having the most fronting time. This is distinct from the core because it is not necessary that the fused-self is equivalent to the pre-plural self. This is also not necessarily a singletsona, as rather than being a collective effort by a system to appear as though they are a singlet, systemflux systems can authentically become singlets temporarily. Systemflux people may or may not be able to access their headspace while existing as a singlet.
