Time loss is when a headmate or system loses track of the passage of time in shared reality. This can be caused by dissociation, blending, from not being co-conscious, or other reasons. Typically does not include activities like sleeping, loss of consciousness, or other mental states shared with singlets.

Dormancy is when a headmate permanently or semi-permanently ceases to exist. If they do come back, they frequently experience time loss.

Time loss may be experienced by systems with distemporal or loctemporal headspaces.

Time gain is the inverse, where a headmate experiences more passage of time in their current location (headspace, or elsewhere) than has elapsed in the shared reality.
