A Virus ( also called malware ) is a headmate whose role is to either absorb or distribute feelings of sickness, nausea, or other ailments. If a virus is maladaptive, they may only distribute these feelings to other headmates, in which they may have a secondary role as a persecutor. But a virus may also absorb these feelings from other headmates so they may continue on with their task.

Viruses are not inherently bad or "evil". If they distribute these feelings, they may do it in a misguided attempt at protecting the system from something worse, or putting certain headmates physically out of commission so that way they may get the proper care they need.

That being said, viruses may also hurt themselves if they only absorb these feelings. Such as overworking their body to harbor these feelings so others won't have to.

Viruses may distribute these feelings they've absorbed to fragments if they reach a "limit" of how much they can hold. There needs to be a healthy balance of absorbing and distributing for these headmates to function properly.

History[edit | edit source]

This term was coined by pluralpedia user WichKount, for a headmate who had this function but didn't exactly have a proper word for it. It was not created for people to use against certain headmates, and is a self-identifier.
