A voidspace channeler is a headmate assigned with the role of absorbing the emotions of another headmate who is in voidspace on request.

While this term is very similar to the affix -voidspace, it has nothing to do with it, as the affix refers to headspaces that contains only void. Same thing goes for the -space suffix, as the voidspace state does not refer to headspaces either.

A Voidspace is a headmate refers to a state a headmate finds themselves in where they are void of emotion. A headmate in voidspace may be similar to a cassmate.
