Autigenic systems are ones with an origin through the lens of, influenced by, or based in their autism. It commonly describes the greater susceptibility to adverse experiences & trauma due to autism, causing a system, versus an origin being autism alone.[1]

Autigenic falls under the neurogenic umbrella, along with other terms related to specific conditions and diagnoses like OC-Genic, osfedgenic, and schizogenic. In many cases, it may also be neurotraumagenic in nature.
