function fragment ( n.)
Applies toheadmates
Coiner[Lorekeeper], a function fragment of the »»NGC_Collective

A function fragment is a fragment (or more generally any co-inhabitant of a body who does not consider themselves to be a system member, and generally not a demi-member) who specifically holds a single task or job. They may be very powerful at getting this done, perhaps even overriding the will of other headmates. However, function fragments do not have (developed, or at all) identities and are not “full headmates”, perhaps not existing outside this task at all.[1]
