A prism is a headmate who hides the system from other people and itself. A prism member tends to be fronting or co-fronting around 90% to 100% of the time. When another headmate fronts, the prism member will cover them and most often act like them without it being blending or blurring.
The prism member can be considered as a wall between headmates and the outer world, and have the sensation of playing a role.
